Gaining Altitude – The Trek to Lebouche
Beautiful day
The day began quite normally and we were ready to leave for Lebouche by 07:40. But there was one unusual factor. We had gained height and therefore the oxygen content was much lower than what we had experienced so far. Throughout the day everyone remained cautious by walking at a much slower pace. Even the people who were racing ahead on the first day took this precaution. The weather stayed in our favor till we reached the guest house. We were really lucky cause as soon as we got there the weather changed drastically and it began to snow. It was decided that all of us would go for an acclimatization trek to prepare us for Everest Base Camp, which was less than 24 hours away. Overall it was an easy walk due to the weather conditions and gradual slopes .
