With much excitement and eagerness, 21 brave souls landed in kathmandu, thus beginning the very first step on an adventure that would change their life forever. Having been received at the airport by the Senior Guide Mr Tendi Sherpa and welcomed with garlands of flowers, the team made their way to Potala Guest House in the Trekking district of Kathmandu, Thamel. For the very first time, the entire tream met each other in person at the TEAM BRIEF thus bringing to head 2-3 months of email communication and phone calls. During the team meet, an overall briefing was conducted pertaining to the trip, the itinerary, the logistical arrangements and the safety aspects. Sauraj Jhingan, Tendi Sherpa & Samir Patham then continued with a brief on Acute Mountaineering Sickness, the Do’s and Don’t as well as the rules of the road. After a quick overview of the next day’s action plan by Mr Ganesh Sharma, the team disbursed to explore the exciting and tantalizing night life, Thamel had to offer.
