06th to 10th Nov Summary
It was evening of 5th Nov, team reached to Phakding in new Sherpa Hotel instead of Sherpa Lodge Phadkding. We are supposed to stay 06th Nov night at Lukla fly to Kathmandu. But Ganesh and Lennart have plan that if we get flight to Kathmandu or Rammhechhap on same day then better to fly. So, all the members of the team agreed on plan. So, the time set at 5 O’clock for breakfast and 5:30 to leave for Lukla to catch flight to Kathmandu.

There was no flight on 5th of Nov due to bad weather. So, there is less chance to fly to Kathmandu for us on the same day of arrival because the plane has to finish 2 days schedule flight along with cancelled flight. But hope never die. We reached Lukla within 3 hrs. Today’s walking pace was little faster than usual day as we need to catch flight for Kathmandu. However, we had to wait until 3 pm to get flight directly to Kathmandu. We are able to skip Rammechap flight as Ganesh managed direct flight to Kathmandu. Otherwise we need to drive for 4 hrs to Kathmandu which could be hetic as the road condition is not good.
All team are happy to land at Kathmandu. We had nice proper dinner after 11 days of trek at Gaia Restaurant, Kathmandu.
07th Nov was free day and shopping day. We went to Garden of dream for Lunch then and shop at Sherpa Gear near palace museum side. Then Ganesh took us to the Ason which is old market of Kathmandu and also called open super market.
On day 08th Nov, we had sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley, where Guide Arjun showed us Patan Durbar Square – one of the ancient palace of mediaeval period of Nepal, Pashupatinath – a biggest hindu pilgrimage sites of the world and Boudhanath – a Buddhist Stupa.
Then we had a good dinner with our guided team at Indian restaurant.
Team Farewell
On the 09th of Nov, 5 person Lennart, Helena, Svante, Peter and Louise went of Hiking to Chandragiri and Chapmadevi that is organized by Hike for Nepal where almost 120 hikers participated. However we had to come back early as Svante had to catch international flight. Anders, Lena, Svante and Tomas left for home today. Rest of the team left home on 10th of November. Ganesh put Buddhists scarf to all team members as a sign of good luck.
It was amazing trek with Swedish friends and family!!
