Day 02- 27 October : First day trek to Namche
Airstrip at Rammechap
We left the hotel at 0200 and began our 4 hour long bus drive to Manthali airport at Rammechap. It was a bit bumpy, therefore somewhat difficult to sleep. Albeit the small size, the airport was very busy. Because the current restoration of the airport in KTM, all planes bound for Lukla depart from Manthali airport. We enjoyed some black spicy tea and waited for our plane.
Landed at Lukla
The flight was short but beautiful and the landing famously exiting with its short uphill landing strip. We ate a tasty lunch in Lukla and then started walking north towards Phakding. It was a nice short distance today, about 3 hours with beautiful green surroundings and glimpses of snow-covered peaks. Shortly after 1600 we arrived at Sherpa Guide Lodge where we had a chance to rest and refresh before we gathered for tea and popcorn.

As of now, we are waiting for our food to be served. I am sure no one will struggle to fall asleep tonight.
