Sarangkot Sunrise Trek

Sarangkot is the name of the hill located at an elevation of 1592 m above sea level on the outskirts of Pokhara city. This place is very popular to catch the view of sunset and sunrise on the Annapurna Mountain Range. Moreover, Sarangkot offers a dramatic view of Annapurna I, the world's 10th highest mountain, Mt.Dhaulagiri in the far west and the Pokhara valley and the beautiful Fewa Lake in the southern direction.  Hundreds of domestic and international tourists visit this popular place just to enjoy the beauty of nature .Being at the hilltop of Sarangkot for a moment and enjoy the best view at dawn or dusk is worth your lifetime.

To get in the Sarangkot, we start our trip early morning around 4 a.m to Sarangkot and view the sunrise from the hilltop. Or, we stay overnight at Sarangkot and view both sunset and sunrise and next day we drive or walk back to Pokhara. The trail to Sarangkot hill is marked well, which makes it easy for hikers and those who want to drive up to the hill can travel by transport.It takes only half an hour from Pokhara.
