Today we trekked the road from Namche to Tengboche and had wonderful views of Everest almost the entire way. After climbing out of Namche, we had a leisurely and flat walk. We saw mountain goats and we also tried to carry goods on our heads like Sherpas. Lev broke his neck almost instantly. He will be missed. We arrived at our destination and went to a monastery where we watched a ceremony. It was very relaxing. After that we did a quick trek up a nearby mountain to get above 4000m and succeeded. In the evening we watched the sun set over Everest. A bright pink peak in a swirl of grays and white. Dinner was by candlelight. It was very romantic.
