Today was filled with successes and failures. Marc and Lev successfully woke up at 3 AM to photograph some beautiful clouds. Eventually, a beautiful sunrise was captured by all, except Lev who was changing his pants. After breakfast, we made our way back. Progress was amazingly swift. No one fell or was injured in any way. We quickly made our way back to Namche where we enjoyed a leisurely lunch. Today was Buddha’s birthday and the village was filled with the smell of incense and the sound of chants. After lunch, we went up to the monastery to see some celebrations. Progress back was quick. We snaked our way back to the double bridge and crossed it. We shortly returned to Monjo where we are staying the night. We all enjoyed hot showers, local apple wine, and the joy of obscure ethnic music.
